By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.

1.Definitions

In briefThe key terms used in this document: who we are, and what "the Service", "content", and "account" mean.

In these Terms:

  • testroute.co.uk — the service operated by Clear Drive that provides digital video content and information about the roads around driving test centres.
  • Clear Drive — the provider of the Service, registered in the Netherlands (Chamber of Commerce / KvK number 93795475). In these Terms, Clear Drive trading as testroute.co.uk is referred to as "we", "us", or "testroute.co.uk".
  • Customer ("you") — the person or organisation that buys a product or service through testroute.co.uk.
  • Account — your personal online area through which you access the content.
  • Content — all digital videos, routes, footage, audio, maps, and other learning materials made available through testroute.co.uk.
  • Service — the online service through which you are given access to the content, for a limited period, over an internet connection.

2.About our service

In briefWe provide real footage and information about the roads around driving test centres. We are a preparation tool, not the official DVSA route, and not a guarantee of passing.

Important

We do not provide official DVSA examiner routes. Our content reflects the road network around each test centre based on our research, but we cannot predict or guarantee which specific roads an examiner will use on any given test.

testroute.co.uk provides video footage, interactive maps, and information about the roads surrounding driving test centres in England. The Service gives you access, for a limited and clearly stated period, to digital content to help you prepare for your practical driving test.

The roads and routes shown are based on our own field research, local driving instructor knowledge, and community contributions. testroute.co.uk is a preparation tool. It is not a substitute for professional driving instruction, and using the Service does not guarantee any particular test outcome.

We make every effort to keep our content accurate and up to date, but road layouts, traffic conditions, and test centre operations can change at any time, so there may be a delay between a real-world change and our update. Passing your test depends on your driving ability, not on knowledge of any particular route. We do our best to keep the Service available and working, but we provide it "as is" and do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free.

3.Access to the content

In briefAfter a one-off payment you get access for a set period stated at checkout. When that period ends, access stops automatically.

After a successful one-off payment, you are given access to the content you have purchased for a limited, agreed period.

The length of the access period is shown for each product on the website and/or during checkout. When the period ends, your access stops automatically. The Service is a digital product with a fixed access term per purchase; it is not a recurring subscription or membership.

We may suspend or limit your access at any time if we reasonably suspect a breach of these Terms, misuse of the Service, or in the event of technical or security problems.

4.Your account

In briefYour account is personal and for one person only. Keep your login secure and never share it. You are responsible for everything done through your account.

To access the content you may need to create a personal account. You must make sure the details you provide are accurate, complete, and up to date.

A testroute.co.uk account is for use by one person. It is strictly personal and non-transferable. You must not share your account, username, or password with, or make it available to, anyone else, including friends, family, classmates, or your driving instructor.

You are fully responsible for all use of your account, regardless of who carries it out. Use by anyone else is treated as use with your permission.

You must keep your password confidential and take reasonable steps to prevent misuse, such as using a strong password and not saving your login on shared devices. If you suspect any misuse, unauthorised use, or a security issue with your account, you must tell us immediately at the email address below.

5.Licence and use of the content

In briefYou get a personal, non-transferable licence to stream the content for your own use during your access period. No downloading, copying, or sharing.

After successful payment, we grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and non-sublicensable licence to view the content during your access period, solely for your own personal, non-commercial use.

You may only stream the content through the environment we provide. You must not download, record, copy, reproduce, publish, distribute, sell, resell, modify, create derivative works from, or otherwise exploit the content (in whole or in part), except where mandatory law expressly allows it.

Nothing in these Terms gives you any right, title, or interest in the content. All use is limited to the licence described in this section.

6.Prohibited use

In briefNo sharing logins, no multiple people on one account, no reselling access, no bypassing our security, no bots. Account sharing is a serious breach.

You must not, directly or indirectly:

  • share login details (username and/or password) with others, or give any third party access to the Service or content through your account;
  • use one account with more than one person, whether through simultaneous or consecutive sessions, or let multiple people use a device to share the same access;
  • rent, lease, sell, resell, sublicense, or otherwise commercially exploit your account, access, or licence;
  • bypass, disable, manipulate, or attempt to test our security measures, technical protections, or IP/device checks;
  • use automated tools (such as bots, scrapers, or crawlers) to access, monitor, or copy the Service or content;
  • use the Service or content in any way that breaks the law or infringes the rights of testroute.co.uk or others.

In line with applicable privacy law, we may use technical measures to detect misuse and unauthorised account use, such as checking for unusual numbers of simultaneous sessions or repeated logins from different locations or devices. Sharing an account or password, allowing others to watch through one account, or otherwise deliberately bypassing the personal licence is treated as a serious breach of these Terms.

If we suspect a breach of this section, we may, at our discretion and without prior notice, block your account, limit or end your access to the content, and/or end the agreement immediately, without a refund of amounts already paid and without affecting our right to claim full compensation.

7.Community contributions

In briefIf you submit routes, tips, or corrections, you let us use them as part of the Service. You keep ownership, and you confirm your submission is your own.

The Service may let you submit route information, tips, reviews, or corrections. By submitting content, you grant testroute.co.uk a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, edit, and display your contribution as part of the Service.

You keep ownership of your submissions. You confirm that anything you submit is your own, does not infringe anyone else's rights, and is accurate to the best of your knowledge. We may review, edit, or remove community submissions at our discretion.

8.Payment and refunds

In briefPay using the methods on the site. Because this is digital content you access immediately, you waive your right to cancel once you open it, and purchases are final. Faulty content is always covered by law.

You can pay using the payment methods offered on the website. The agreement is formed once your payment has been successfully completed and confirmed by us.

The Service provides access to digital content that you can use immediately after purchase. When you complete your purchase, you expressly request immediate access to the content and acknowledge that, by accessing it, you waive your statutory right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. Once you have accessed the content, your purchase is final and no refund will be issued for a change of mind.

This does not affect your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. If the content is faulty, not as described, or does not perform as it should, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund as provided by law.

9.Intellectual property

In briefEverything on testroute.co.uk belongs to us or our licensors. Your purchase is a personal licence to view, nothing more.

All rights in the Service, the website, the content, and other materials, including copyright, trade marks, and other intellectual property rights, remain the exclusive property of testroute.co.uk or its licensors.

You must not use our trade marks, logos, trade names, or other distinctive signs in a way that could cause confusion about the origin of services or suggest a partnership that does not exist. Nothing in these Terms gives you the right to register or use any of our brands, logos, or branded materials, including as a domain name or part of one.

10.Liability

In briefWe never limit liability for things the law will not allow, such as death, personal injury, or fraud. Otherwise we are not liable for indirect losses, and our liability is capped at what you paid us.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot be excluded or limited by law.

Subject to the above, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from or connected to your use of the Service, including the outcome of any driving test, decisions you make based on our content, or loss of data. Where we are liable, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the relevant product or access period.

We are not liable for interruptions or unavailability of the Service caused by events outside our reasonable control, problems with third parties, or necessary maintenance.

11.Your data and privacy

In briefHow we handle your personal data is explained in our Privacy Policy. You can ask us to delete your account and data, subject to legal retention duties.

How we collect and use your personal data is set out in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. We process personal data in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

You can ask us to delete your account and the personal data linked to it, as far as this does not conflict with legal retention requirements, by contacting us at the email address below. After your account is deleted, you will no longer have access to the content or related services.

12.Changes to these terms

In briefWe may update these Terms. The latest version is always on the site, and we will flag significant changes.

We may change or add to these Terms at any time. The most recent version is always published on the website. Where changes are significant, we will let you know in an appropriate way, for example through the website or by email.
